Second Life economy in recession?
This is what the Second Life Herald is claiming: Second Life Economy is in recession.
I agree, and also agree that PMLF (Positive Monthly Linden Flow) is one of the best tool to determine trends for a virtual economy.
There is, however, the “bank ban” factor to take into account; it simply means that previous indicators were “inflated” by bank operations. I think the economy is just doing good.
Well, let’s hope those indicators will recover soon anyway!
In the meanwhile, I’ll have a well-deserved weekend home :-)

I do think that the bank ban is a factor. However, preceding that the statistics showed about 70% growth over the last year… with, as I recall, 30% of the spending.

Yes, Fugazi, it is a factor, but not the only one.
We’ll see in the next few months.

Thus I said ‘a factor’ and not ‘the reason’. :-)
