Second Life Business in 2008? Check this out
As Reuters reports, Second Life enterpreneurs (can we call them SLenterpreneurs?), in an Electric Sheep event, say they are cautiously optimistic about 2008.
I agree with JimmyJet Fossett, expecially on the last sentence in bold (bold is mine): ” [I see the SL economy going] Up, I see the prospect of more transactional capability tied to web facilitating — but only if the platform can handle [it]. If LL does not improve, could actually cause flight to other platforms!”.
Despite NO OTHER METAVERSES can really give you the power to do anything with few hours of training (yes, Metaverses are way more difficult than web pages), in 2008 things can easily change. I really hope that Linden Lab will improve:
- Linden Scripting Language (this is soooo needed);
- Bandwidth;
- User interface (again, badly needed: business need customers, not just developers);
- Server processing power.
(I know: they have to improve ALMOST EVERYTHING!)

Yea Screw SL and the BS now that OPENSIM has given them a run for there money as other grids are online that are making SL rethink what they are doing cause everybody is about to leave SL for better places that care about the people who populate the grid. No one likes you amymore cause of the way you gave us bad service and don’t want to support you finacially anymore who is gonna pay the bill corporate sponsors. NO I don’t think so cause they want an audience to target and with no one around I don’t think they will be either.
