Chiropractic students: do they need a Second Life?
Interestingly, not everyone seems interested in Second Life.
It quite always depends on a “feedback” factor: how much I’m going to spend (in terms of money and/or time), and see it in return?
This is why I’ll try to answer to a rather obvious question: do chiropratic students need a Second Life?
In short… It depends.
You can’t properly simulate a real environment, or if you manage to do so, you surely spend too much doing it. This means that such niche can benefit from Second Life only from one point of view: marketing.
If you use Second Life to:
- Show something about Chiropractice;
- Show something about you, and your job;
- Allow questions, and in general, lot of interaction;
Then you win.
This reasoning applies to many other situations as well: think simply about it, and you surely can see a solution, if there is one!

Thanks, Simone. This makes a lot of sense. I will pass it on to the chiropractic students on my newsletter mailing list and my blog.

[…] Are you on “Second Life”? Should you be? Second Life is a virtual reality world in which you (actually your online character or “avatar”) can interact with others, socializing and chatting and building your own world. It is also a place to buy and sell. You can set up an online business and do transactions in “Linden Dollars” (backed by a credit card. So why would you want to be on Second Life? Well, I’ll let the expert tell you. Simone Brunozzi runs a Second Life blog: Here is her post about chiropractic students: http://www.secondlifepros.com/chiropractic-students-do-they-need-a-second-life/ […]
