Ignore Second Life at your own peril!

http://www.virtualworldsnews.com/2008/04/mckinsey-compan.html

McKinsey & Company, a famous management consulting firm (wikipedia), is deeply involved in virtual worlds, and Second Life.
From a news source:
An unnamed senior consultant told the Times Online that companies “absolutely”  should be “experimenting in virtual worlds” to attract customers under 30 and were “ignoring them at their peril.”
I agree: virtual worlds, and social networks, […]

Some Second Life Statistics!

Seems Superb, Showing SL Statistics, Seriously, Shy Softy Sophomores!
Ok, no more “S” words, I swear!
Linden Lab just released some nice graphs, showing interesting Second Life statistics.
What I infer is:
1. The Gambling Ban didn’t affect the growth rate;
2. Land mass is rapidly growing (so why reduce price, morons?)

Land prices drop… a “fascist” behavior from Linden Lab

[important disclaimer note: the term “fascist“, as in the geek/computer science world, means “doing something by authority, without respect for people’s rights” or “doing something in an extreme way”. It has no links with (and no reference to) real life fascisms of the 20th century]
It seems that Linden Lab will significantly cut land prices, to […]

Exit interview of Philip Rosedale

Happy Easter, dear readers!!
Just a quick note: you may be interested in reading the exit interview of Philip Rosedale, ex-CEO of Linden Lab.
Long, but worth reading.
I’ll get back to my fantastic italian dinner here… I love Easter, it has strong “religious” meanings (for believers, and for non-believers like me), but I also love it for […]
