No developers, no party!

Not sure if you’ve seen it, but there was a commercial for Martini, depicting a sexy George Clooney that appears at the front door of a house, in which they’re having a party. Two cute girls look at him with surprise, but then say: “No martini, no party!”.

Second Life is not yet interesting enough for developers. No developers, no thriving economy, no capitals, no buzz, no results… no party!
Why they are not interested? Because the interface is still complicate, bandwidth usage is too high, the language is confusing, there are not open APIs to improve third party application, there is at least a two-hours downtime almost every week, etcetera.

I really hope Linden Lab will do something about it in the future.

What do you think? Are you a developer? If so, what’s your opinion on that? If not, what is your opinion on that anyway?
