The B5Media network:

Almost! From virtual job fair to a real job

This is my personal story: I’m currently working at the University for Foreigners in Perugia, but soon my life can change a lot.
I must admit it: I was skeptical. I didn’t believe that Second Life could be THIS useful.
But it is!

Tomorrow I’m going to Seattle for the final round of interviews at Amazon, and then, if everything goes well, I’ll be hired and move to Luxembourg (any hint for more sunlight there? I would appreciate that!).
Everything started from a virtual job fair for Luxembourg job offerings.
And I’m sure that one of the guys from amazon was impressed of one small “installation” I did to show how to create 3D presentations in Second Life.

Thanks, Second Life: you proved you’re worth something really good!

Do you have any experiences on the usefulness of Second Life?
Comment and share them with us!

Hi sbrunozzi, This is great news for you on your Amazon move to Luxembourg! I would like to interview you about your personal story once you’ve settled and would like to introduce you to the creator of the virtual job fair. Let me know if this is ok for you?!
