Virtual Worlds Conference: New York, 3-4 april 2008
The upcoming Virtual Worlds 2008 Conference will take place in New York on 3-4 april 2008.
The cost is like any other conference (early registration ends feb 29th, and you’ll save 700 $), and you’ll meet some mayor players in virtual worlds (we’re still missing Philip Rosedale there… what’s up?)

Such kind of conferences are great for those who want to grasp the ideas and business opportunities of virtual worlds, very quickly. Think about it.
I’ll probably not be able to attend, due to previous arrangements.
Will you go? Yes, no? Why?

I’m a bit concerned that the Virtual Worlds community doesn’t really seem to see itself as part of the broader web. Almost all the launches of new products that are expected in 2008 are pushing towards the web as at least the delivery platform. Shouldn’t “Virtual Worlds” be a part of a larger future of the web conference?
I agree with you, Ian!
Social and virtual will merge together soon!
