Did you ever think of Second Life as a tactical warfare training tool?
Well, seems that the U.S. Army is embracing Second Life for more soft training, but of course sooner or later the real battle will come in.
I’m against wars, but also see that some of them seems inevitable. Fact is that, in twenty years, the most cruel wars will be battled on nanoscale.

Do you know Assisi? It’s a small roman/medieval town in middle Italy, right between Florence and Rome. Sat on a hill (“asisium” in latin means “sat down”), it was the home of Francesco Bernardone, who later in XIII century become Saint Francis of Assisi. They built a huge church and convent to celebrate him, the Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi.

Second Life is also about REAL MONEY, so no surprise that Mafia (did you know that the terms comes from arabic mahyas, meaning aggressive/boasting/bragging, or marfud, meaning rejected?), is interested in it.
Of course, this is a fun post, so don’t take it too seriously… wait a moment, who are you? What’s that, a GUN? Oh my… AAARGH!

This is a little bit surprising, but it seems that Second Life Economy is strong, and growing day by day.
On this post, the official Second Life Blog outlines some interesting informations about SL Economy.
Both economic growth (in terms of Linden Dollars exchanged) and users went way up in the 4th quarter of 2007. Good news!
