Big corporations in Second Life

Second Life IS for business, otherwise big corporations like Dell, for example, wouldn’t care to be there.

We always need to understand the advantages: for Dell, being in Second Life is a good marketing promo, a way to test a new technology (the 3D web, of course), and another way to contact customers and fulfill their needs.

If we talk about smaller businesses, it’s more difficult to justify a big investment, because some of the main advantages are not worth the expense (your unknown body shop in Edmonton doesn’t care if its name is marketed to asian Second Life visitors, for example).
